Welcome! Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Allison Baker, and I am Dorchester's school nurse. I am both excited and eager for the upcoming year(s) and getting to know all of the students! A little bit about myself... I currently reside in Ridgewood with my family; my husband John, my son Landon, and my daughter Hannah. I received my Registered Nurse (RN) Degree from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing and began my nursing career working at Hackensack University Medical Center. I returned back to school to complete my Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) at Ramapo College of New Jersey. In between working at the hospital and the birth of my two children, I worked as a Non-Public School Nurse for the YWCA Early Learning Center in Upper Saddle River. This prompted me to, yet again, return to school and become a Certified School Nurse (CSN) at New Jersey University (NJCU). In 2021 I returned to school again to complete a Master's in School Health Education from NJCU. Wow that's a lot of school!! But I love being a nurse, and it was totally worth all the hard work. I am really looking forward to taking care of your children when they don't feel well, getting to know them better, and just seeing everyone around the school to say, "Hi!".
