Youth Helpline
There's a safe place to turn when life's problems become difficult or unmanageable.
The State of NJ, Department of Children and Families, Division of Prevention and Community Partnerships' 2NDFLOOR Youth Helpline is a vital resource available to students. The helpline is designed to support healthy emotional development of New Jersey's youth ages 10-24 through safe and anonymous communication.
Students seeking guidance with a crisis or simply in need of a place to talk are able to access immediate, interactive, empathetic and respectful assistance through the helpline designed with their needs in mind.
The helpline is supervised at all times by a mental health professional and in cases of crisis or emergency, an appropriate response can be assessed. When young people access the helpline they are also provided with relevant and appropriate linkages to information and services that can further address their myriad of social, emotional and physical needs.
