Expectations

1.   There are four reasonable rules all students are expected to follow while attending Mr. Westervelt's physical education class.

RESPECT YOURSELF

RESPECT OTHERS

RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT

RESPECT THE EQUIPMENT

2.  Safety!!!!!
My lesson plans are designed around what is safe for the child. I expect every child that comes into my physical education class to act and move responsibly, and to be dressed appropriately (i.e. clothes that allow you to move comfortably, no jewelery, and no skirts or dresses.)

3.  Participation Is A Must!!

Success comes from a student's participation doing skills, drills, interacting with peers and teacher, and through active discussion of class-related topics.  You MUST come with proper footwear or you can not participate for the day.  Not being prepared with your sneakers 3 times or more in one trimester will result in the lowering of your child's grade.

Examples of Improper Footwear:
Boots
Uggs
Flip Flops
Crocs
Sandals
Dress Shoes

4.  Those students who come to physical education class with a medical concern MUST have a note from either:

 a) the parents/guardians

 b) the doctor

 c) School nurse
