21st century students need to learn healthy habits for working at a computer. These habits will protect them from injury through their working life, and provide them with work-place readiness skills necessary to become productive members of society.
To keep up with keyboarding skills learned in class, and to improve on those skills, we encourage the children to practice keyboarding for 10 minutes per week throughout the school year. This can be done using www.typing.com. This is the site used during each tech class, and can be accessed from any computer. It is not recommended for use with tablets. Students should log in with their school-assigned Google username and password.
