Meet our Business Staff


The Business Department is happy to help you with any of your district financial questions.  Just contact the appropriate individual below to get answers to your questions:

Business Administrator:
Mr. Matthew L. Lynaugh is the School Business Administrator, Board Secretary for the Woodcliff Lake School District. 
Prior to entering public industry, Mr. Lynaugh was employed in the private sector for a Fortune 500 company. Before joining Woodcliff Lake, Mr. Lynaugh worked in two other school districts. 
Mr.  Lynaugh holds a MBA in Management and a MBA/MS Accountancy Combined Degree from Saint Peters University.  His responsibilities include overseeing the following areas: budget development and management, payroll, facilities management, purchasing, transportation, along with insurance and risk management.
Administrative Assistant:
Mrs. Platyan is responsible for the Board Meeting Minutes and assists the Business Administrator with district contracts, transportation services, workers’ compensation and correspondence.  She also manages the district’s personnel and attendance reports.

Mrs. Cofresi prepares the payroll for all employees of the district, enrolls eligible employees into the pension system and for medical and dental coverage.  She prepares all payroll tax returns, pension and health coverage reports.  She is also responsible for purchasing food products distributed at the school cafeterias.

Accounts Payable:

Mrs. Kurkjian is responsible for accounts payable, revenues and monthly and year-end financial reports and all Department of Education and audit reports.

Mrs. Christine Fiore is responsible for scheduling facility use by outside organizations for the district and controls the district’s inventory as well as teachers’ supplies as needed throughout the school year and Student Activities.
